Welcome, New Medical Director Kristi Hughlett

Welcome, New Medical Director Kristi Hughlett

We are very excited to welcome our new Medical Director, Kristi Hughlett, who will lead our medical team during each race beginning this season. As a runner and physical therapist, Kristi brings knowledge of the sport and enthusiasm to the role. Kristi has been a part of our finish line medical crew in the past and has a great understanding of our events and the needs of runners. She recently attended the Boston Marathon where she assisted at the finish line and met other kindred spirits – and some well-liked former staff also familiar with our races! Please welcome, Kristi and read on for her note to all participants.

Hello Runners!
We are almost five weeks out from the first 2024 Run Stillwater race on May 25. I’m checking in with you all to introduce myself as the new medical director. My name is Kristi Hughlett. I am a physical therapist at OSI Physical Therapy in Stillwater, Minn. I started running in 2001 and have run everything from 5K’s to full marathons. I am currently training for the New York City marathon in November.

Our plan is to share more information on different topics as we progress through this year’s race series. Please let me know of any topics you’d like me to cover, including nutrition, training plans, exercises for hip and joint pain, etc., by emailing info@runstillwater.com. I am so excited to be working with Run Stillwater and this race series, and looking forward to meeting all of you – hopefully outside of the medical tent. But if you need care during or after a race, just know we have a team of pros ready for you.

Stay healthy and run your race!
