Gopher to Badger 2026 Transfer-Deferral

UPDATE, MAY 16:
The 2026 Gopher to Badger Half Marathon Transfer/Deferral option is no longer available.

Due to road construction impacting the race course of this year’s Gopher to Badger Half Marathon on August 8, the race cannot cross the border from Minnesota into Wisconsin this year. All distances – Half, 10K, 5K – for the August 8 race will take place on a loop course based at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo.

Run Stillwater, Inc. is offering runners who signed up for the 2026 Gopher to Badger race on or before April 19, 2026 the opportunity to transfer or defer their race entry due to the impact of this change. If you registered on or before April 19 and would like to transfer or defer your 2026 Gopher to Badger race sign-up, first find your original confirmation email. You’ll need some details contained in the email to take the next step. Of course, we hope you’ll join us on August 8 as planned, in which case you need do nothing!

Please know this is a one-time offer pertaining to the 2026 Gopher to Badger race only. Race registration is not refundable or transferrable to another race or another participant. In addition, race organizers reserve the right to alter courses at our discretion. All runners registered on or before April 19 were sent an email with information about this change and the options available to them, including a link to this page.

Options include the following:

    1. You may keep your registration as-is and join us on August 8.

What you need to do: Nothing. You are already registered and set for the race.

    1. You may transfer your race registration to any other 2026 Run Stillwater race.

What you need to do: Fill out the form below by May 15, 2026, to indicate your preference. Your registration will be moved to the race of your choice and you’ll receive an updated confirmation email showing the change.

    1. You may defer your race registration to any race in 2027.

What you need to do: Fill out the form below by May 15, 2026, to indicate your preference. Your registration will be placed On Hold in our system and flagged for deferral. This fall, you’ll receive a code enabling you to register for the race of your choice in 2027.
