Interested in registering for more than one 2018 Run Stillwater event at the same time? The registration system lets you do just that. Watch for that option within the registration process.
Only one person may register at a time because we need to ensure we have all the correct safety information and a separate waiver for each race participant.
Changing Your Distance
Injured or feeling so fit you want to run further? You may change your distance at packet pickup. For guests moving to a longer distance you’ll just pay the difference. There’s not charge for moving to a shorter distance. Just pick up your packet as usual and bring it too the In-Person/Changes table to make the switch.
Slow runners and walkers are welcome provided you maintain progress on the course and do not deviate from the course. Stopping is not allowed for any other reason except a medical condition, hydration and/or to use the restroom, and will mean disqualification from the race and the possibility that race support will no longer be available.
We will have Bag Drop at each start. Details are…
Pacers for the Half Marathon:
The 2018 Stillwater Boom Site Log Run will have pacers, provided by Minnesota Pacers, for all 10 mile participants to help runners reach their race day goals.
Packet pick-up Friday, Sept. 21, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Race day (Sept. 22), 6 a.m.
Location: Water Street Inn Ballroom, 101 Water Street S., Stillwater
The Water Street Inn is our official race headquarters hotel, welcoming runners before and after the race. On race morning, results will be posted at the hotel and a breakfast buffet will be available with special pricing for participants.
Picking Up Someone Else’s Packet
You may pick up another runner’s packet. Pleases confirm that you have agreed to do this in advance so there is no confusion with volunteers at packet pick-up.
Runners are encouraged to carpool to downtown Stillwater. Parking is available in various locations throughout downtown. Follow this link for parking information. A downloadable map of the downtown Stillwater area with recommended parking locations will be available prior to the race.
Shuttles to/from the Finish and Downtown Stillwater for SPECTATORS and RUNNERS:
The finish area will be serviced continuously by shuttle buses beginning at approximately 7:40 am. Spectators may find buses on Water Street between Myrtle Street and Mulberry Street. The ride from downtown Stillwater is a short 6-7 minutes to the Boom Site and will bring our runner-guests and fans back to Stillwater and the headquarters at the Water Street Inn after the race. There is positively NO parking available at Boom Site Park or along the adjacent highway.
8 a.m. for all races. Course details are visible in the course maps. See tabs on the website.
The finish line is at the Boom Site Park three miles north of Stillwater on Hwy 95. The first 5K runners will cross the finish around 8:17 to 8:20. 12K runners are expected around 8:40 on, and 10 Milers will arrive after 9:00 a.m.
The race will occur rain or shine. Runner safety is our number one priority. We have over 65 course marshals and public safety officers stationed around the course to help runners in good weather and bad. In the event of lightening in the area, we will delay until there are no lightening strikes for 30 minutes, which is the national standard for these conditions. We have direct contacts with the national weather service in the Twin Cities and area meteorologists to track conditions.
Post Race Information:
Race results will be posted and updated regularly at the Water Street Inn; our race headquarters.
Celebrate your victory with breakfast at the Water Street Inn. Come to relax and refuel after a great race!
